Welcome to The Wild Turkey Inn. We hope you enjoy your stay. We’ve prepared the house to be comfortable, well stocked, and easy to use, and this guide covers anything that might need explanation. If you have questions at any point, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re always happy to help.
We welcome constructive feedback and are continually refining the experience.

Check-In & Access
Front door code: 1127
Self check-in and check-out instructions are provided prior to arrival.
Please remember to lock the front door when leaving the house.
Equipment Storage
A secure storage area for skis, bikes, golf clubs, and bulky gear is located in the basement, accessed via the door under the front staircase.
Basement lock code: 1814
Enter the code and turn the deadbolt. To lock, press the lock button and turn the deadbolt.
Please note: the basement also serves as a workshop and is still under improvement.
Footwear
Please remove outdoor footwear upon entry. We recommend bringing indoor shoes, slippers, or flip flops.
Children
Children are welcome. As this is a historic home with staircases and antiques, the house is not child-proofed. Please supervise children at all times.
Scent Sensitivity
We aim to be scent-sensitive. Please avoid the use of perfumes and heavily scented products during your stay.

Service disruptions can occasionally occur in mountain towns. If you experience issues, you may wish to check for regional outages or contact us for assistance.
Kitchen & Dining
The kitchen is fully stocked for self-catering, which includes our very special Kootenay Care Package.
Coffee, tea, breakfast items, snacks, condiments, and pantry staples are provided
Dishwasher pellets are located under the sink
Recycling bins are in the dining room coffee hutch
Placemats, napkins, and serving dishes are stored in the dining room hutches
Antique cupboards open with the provided keys — please feel free to use anything you need
If you notice anything missing, let us know.
Coffee
We take coffee seriously and offer several options:
Coffee grinder
French press
Stovetop espresso maker
Percolator
Instant coffee packets
Each guest room also has an electric espresso maker. Please leave appliances unplugged when not in use.
Our tap water is excellent and makes great coffee.
Laundry
Laundry facilities are available for guest use. Powdered detergent and reduced-waste laundry strips are provided.
Guest Rooms
Each room includes a wardrobe or closet
Towels and linens will be laundered after departure — no need to wash
Windows may be opened (at least one per room)
Additional instructions for kettles and coffee makers are provided in each room
Extra supplies can be found in closets and wardrobes throughout the house.
Bath Products
Refillable bath products are provided in each guest room.

Games and puzzles are located:
In the chest on the landing
In cupboards in the guest dining room
In the attic
Gardens & Grounds
The backyard is fenced for our dogs. If visiting the garden or dogs, please ensure gates are closed behind you.
House Temperature
Main thermostat is located in the dining room
Winter settings:
21°C (7am–10pm)
18°C overnight
Portable heaters are available on request
Extra blankets are provided in each room and upstairs wardrobe
Radiators are hot-water based and safe for drying wet gear. Turning the radiator knobs does not adjust heat.
Ensuite bathrooms have heated floors with individual thermostats.
In summer, A/C units are installed in each bedroom.

Extra supplies can be found in the upstairs wardrobe, hallway supply closet, and entryway closet, including:

Each guest room also includes:

Garbage, Recycling & Compost
Garbage cans are located in guest rooms and under the kitchen sink
Recycling bins are in the dining room hutch
Larger bins are in the basement storage area
Garbage is collected Thursdays; recycling every second Thursday. We handle curbside pickup unless otherwise arranged.
A compost bin with a special bag is located under the sink. Please freeze any bags that you fill up.
Transportation
Public bus Route 46 runs between Rossland and Trail
During ski season, RED Mountain operates a free shuttle from downtown
