Are you a family-friendly guest house near downtown Rossland?

Yes. The Wild Turkey Inn is a family-friendly private guesthouse just three blocks from downtown Rossland. Families can book the full three-bedroom inn or a one-room stay with private use of the guest spaces. With ensuite accommodation, generous common areas and a full kitchen, it works well for couples, families and multi-generational groups travelling together.

Is The Wild Turkey Inn rented as mixed occupancy individual rooms or the full house?

The Wild Turkey Inn is offered exclusively as a private, full-house stay. When you book the whole inn you have private use of the entire three-bedroom heritage home. When you book our one-room option, you will have access to one guest room and the rest of the inn. We never accommodate multiple guest groups at the same time.

How many bedrooms and bathrooms does the guest house have?

The inn features three guest bedrooms, each with its own private en-suite bathroom, along with a chef’s kitchen, dining room, lounge spaces, and laundry.

Do you have a full kitchen?

Yes. Guests have access to a fully equipped, self-catering kitchen. Our Kootenay Care Package will be waiting for you — a generously stocked kitchen with a rotating selection of breakfast foods, snacks, simple meal options and cooking staples, featuring products from local producers whenever possible.

Are pets allowed at The Wild Turkey Inn?

Yes. Well-behaved dogs and cats are welcome for all bookings. A small per-pet cleaning fee applies. Please see our Policies page for full details.

Is there parking available?

Yes. Free on-site parking is available for guests. There is also access to a secure shared storage room for skis, bikes, and outdoor equipment.

How do I get to The Wild Turkey Inn?

Rossland is tucked into the West Kootenays of southeastern British Columbia, close to the U.S. border.

By air: Trail (YZZ) and Castlegar (YCG) regional airports are both about 30–40 minutes away. Spokane International Airport (GEG) is roughly 2.5 hours by car and is the closest major international airport. Kelowna International Airport (YLW) is about 3.5 hours away.

By car: Rossland is approximately 7–8 hours from Vancouver, Calgary or Seattle, depending on route, traffic and weather.

Winter visitors should be prepared for mountain driving conditions and ensure their vehicle meets BC winter tire requirements. If you’re unsure which airport or route makes the most sense for your trip, just ask us.

How close is the inn to RED Mountain Ski Resort?

The Wild Turkey Inn is located less than ten minutes from RED Mountain Resort by car. A free ski shuttle also runs from downtown Rossland to the mountain during the winter season.

Do the guest rooms have televisions?

Guest bedrooms do not have televisions by design, supporting a quieter and more relaxed stay. A shared television is available in the kitchen/lounge area, and complimentary Wi-Fi is provided for streaming or staying connected as needed.

What is the minimum stay?

Minimum stays apply and vary by season. The Wild Turkey Inn is best suited to multi-day visits rather than overnight stays. Current minimum stay requirements are listed on our booking page.

Is the inn suitable for groups of friends traveling together?

Absolutely. The inn is designed for groups who value shared space, privacy, and time together. It’s an ideal base for ski trips, summer getaways, reunions, and small gatherings.

Sleeping arrangements include one king bed and two queen beds. For additional guests, we have two twin-size foam mattresses and a small cot available; beyond that, the inn starts to feel pretty snug.

Is The Wild Turkey Inn within walking distance of restaurants and shops?

Yes. Downtown Rossland’s cafés, restaurants, bakeries, pubs, and shops are all within a short walk of the inn.

Do you offer self check-in?

Yes. Guests enjoy convenient self check-in after 3:00 pm, with check-out by 11:00 am.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.

Are you open year-round?

The inn operates seasonally, with closures at certain times of year for maintenance and renovations. Availability is always up to date on our booking calendar

Are there stairs, and is the inn accessible?

The Wild Turkey Inn is a historic home and is not wheelchair accessible. There are approximately 25 exterior steps to reach the guest entrance, followed by another flight of stairs to the guest rooms. Guests should be comfortable navigating stairs during their stay.

Do you serve breakfast?

We don’t serve a traditional sit-down breakfast, but every stay includes our complimentary Kootenay Care Package — a generously stocked kitchen with a rotating selection of breakfast foods, snacks, simple meal options and cooking staples, featuring products from local producers whenever possible.

Do the owners live on the property?

Yes. We live in separate private quarters on the property. Guests have private use of the guesthouse spaces, and we’re happy to give you as much privacy as you like while remaining nearby if you need anything.

Can I host an event at The Wild Turkey Inn?
